About the Orange Public Schools Board of Education
The Orange Public Schools Board of Education oversees the educational direction and fiscal stewardship of the district, serving the diverse needs of our City of Orange community. As an elected Type II board, our nine members each serve staggered three-year terms, ensuring consistent and engaged leadership driven by community trust and participation .
Together with district leadership, we foster an inclusive environment focused on academic excellence, college and career readiness, and personal growth for students from PreK through Grade 12. Drawing on deep ties within the community, the board ensures that policies, priorities, and programs align with the needs of students, families, and educators.
With a smaller student-teacher ratio and a clear commitment to equity, innovation, and global citizenship, the Orange Public Schools Board of Education remains dedicated to unlocking every student’s potential, together as one Orange.
