I hope this communication finds you well and in good health and spirits. It has certainly been a busy and productive few days across the Orange Public School District as we continue to build momentum and begin the new school year with purpose. There is much to celebrate, much to accomplish, and, as always, much to be grateful for.
I invite you to take a moment to sit back, relax, and enjoy reading this week’s update from the Office of the Superintendent. Within these pages, you will find highlights of the meaningful work taking place throughout our schools and the many ways our scholars and staff continue to move us forward.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to the success of our scholars and staff. Your support makes a difference, and together, we remain One Orange Strong. In closing, I encourage each of you to have an exceptional weekend; rest, recharge, and embrace every moment on PURPOSE.

What an incredible Homecoming Night at Bell Stadium! Our Orange High School community came together for an unforgettable evening filled with school spirit, pride, and unity.
From the excitement on the football field to the energy in the stands, our Tornadoes showed up and showed out! The football team battled with heart, our Homecoming Court dazzled under the lights, and our talented Marching Band brought the soundtrack to an amazing night. The Flag Squad's precision routines, the Navy ROTC's sharp formation, and our Majorette Dance Team's stunning performance all added to the magic of the evening.
This is what Orange pride looks like - students, families, staff, and community members united in celebration of our school and our traditions. Nights like these remind us why being a Tornado is something special.
Thank you to Superintendent Dr. Fitzhugh, Board President Johnson, Board Vice President Dr. Turner, Board Member Adams, AP of Academics & Athletics Mr. Stackhouse and his team, as well as all of the OHS Coaches, our Band Director and Orange Public Schools staff that make this occasion special.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students and make this Homecoming one for the books!

Our Heywood Wildcats are bringing the school spirit, the energy, and the pride as they show off their favorite sports gear! From jerseys and team shirts to athletic-inspired looks, our scholars are proudly representing the teams and sports they love while showing what it means to be a Wildcat! 💪🏾🐾
Fan Friday is more than just wearing your favorite sports gear. It is about building community, celebrating individuality, and creating a school environment where our scholars can express themselves, connect with one another, and have FUN while learning!
The excitement was contagious as our Wildcats proudly displayed their team spirit. Whether they were cheering for their favorite professional team, supporting a hometown squad, or simply rocking their favorite athletic gear, one thing was clear: the Wildcats know how to bring the SPIRIT!
